Pasinetti Art Gallery of Montichiari
Located in what used to be a church of the XVI century, the art gallery hosts the paintings made by Antonio Pasinetti (1863-1940) and given to the council by his nephew Laura Pasinetti.
The artist was born in Montichiari and soon moved to Milan, where he became a famous portrait-painter. On the first level of the building you will be able to admire the portraits he made to the bourgeoisie of Milan during the Belle Èpoque, as well as fabulous coloured landscapes with underlying social themes.
The second level of the art gallery is dedicated to the sketches and their relationship with the finished artworks, and the story of the Pasinetti family, told through their portraits.
