Bonoris theatre of Montichiari
Teatro Bonoris was built in 1773 and is named after Count Gaetano Bonoris, who in 1890 made donations to widen the structure, which needed more space to host more public.
The inauguration was held on 18th October 1890 and hosted the opera Il Trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi.
The interiors of the theatre were re-structured in 1996 and present elegant stages and a wide stalls area, for a total of approximately 300 seats. Thanks to the particular acoustic this venue offers, watching a show from its comfy chairs is a unique experience.
Nowadays it hosts important theatre events such as operas with international actors, as well as concerts by the local band and by the string school Scuola d'Archi Pellegrino da Montechiaro.
Famous are the special concerts of Santa Lucia and Christmas, as well as the Operetta.
